Police called to Camerons’ holiday home over protest

THE Prime Minister had to endure a second interruption to his holiday on Sunday when a protester camped outside his holiday home and demanded the reform of family courts.

Bobby Smith, from London, used a loud-hailer to summon David Cameron from the house near Daymer Bay. Mr Smith, who is supported by the campaign group New Fathers 4 Justice and backed by fellow protester Carol Wheeler, said Mr Cameron did briefly step outside and talk to him: “He said I was spoiling his holiday, and then he stormed off back inside – but we’re going to stay here for as long as it takes.”

Mr Smith said police had sent a riot van, with 10 officers, to make sure they did not get too close to the Prime Minister. “On Monday they threatened to tow my car away,” he said, “and they’ve been threatening me with all kinds of things…
