In my experience an alienating parent needs three things: (1) motive to undermine the child’s relationship with the other parent, (2) access to the child, and (3) skillful use of alienation strategies. These are not the sole purview of either gender.
In my particular case, I believe we can definitely check off all 3 items on this list. (1) Vindictive Ex-Husband who wants to “get me back” for everything he perceives I have “done” to him the past 15 years. Ex-Husband got woman he had been dating for 5 months pregnant and had to marry her. Neither he nor new Step-Mom wanted him to continue paying me child support.
