woede… vrees… angs
Volgens die Ennegram en die kursus wat ons predikant met ons gedoen het, is die dryfveer wat ‘n persoon laat werk, óf angs, óf woede, óf vrees. Dit het vir my lank geneem om dié konsep te verstaan, en ek is steeds nie seker of ek dit regtig verstaan nie.
Die kopmense (5, 6, 7) word gedryf deur vrees, die hartsmense (2, 3, 4) deur angs, en die Gut-mense (8,9,1), deur woede.
Die angs een verstaan ek nie regtig nie. Die dominee wat dit aangebied het, is ‘n hartsmens, en sê dat hy angstig voel voor ‘n preek… hy preek fantasties… so, dit lyk my die angs werk vir hom. Vir my, die nommer 7, is angs ‘n verlammer. Alles in my vermoë moet gedoen word dat ek nie angstig raak nie, want dán is ek ‘n ronde nul op die kontrak.

Daveyone : The Legacy!
Dad in High Wycombe town hall protest
A fathers rights protester climbed up on the town hall roof of High Wycombe at approximately 7pm yesterday closing the road outside for the evening.
The Annual Mayor Maker takes place in Frogmoor today and will see the outgoing and incoming mayor, the charter trustees and councillors weighed in and out of office. There is always jeering and cheering as the town crier shouts “no more” or “some more.”
We say “More, more, more” rights for fathers to see their children!

Good evening Little Men!
Hope my muppets are doing well and having a great Saturday !
I have had a busy day , was at the factory early this morning and ended up having to rework the sand processing workflow as it was not giving me the output I wanted here , so a bag full of nails , 2 jumbo sand bags and a pile of bricks later we know have doubled the sand processing speed 🙂 long story , will have to do you a hand sketch one day …lol
Then I set off into the old part of the city for a meeting , we ended up parking near the Old Fort thinking we could cut across to the site we had the meeting at, but no , the fort was shut , major traffic jams in the market area so we ended up walking about a mile around the fort amongst a sea of people , motorcycles , cars and donkeys …don’t ask re the donkeys …lol … Still a preferred choice of transport in the city for some vendors ….thus by the time we got to our meeting I had a semi broken shoulder from my laptop bag , my shoes looked grey instead of black and I had sweat dripping into my socks …lol , a great look for meeting a new client I know 🙂
So after our meeting I put my foot down and refused to walk back the way we came so we ended up Spider-man climbing a huge road- block barrier which halved the stroll back to the car , I do think the locals have not seen many foreigners do this stunt in full work kit …but it had to be done …lol
Went out for dinner so just back at the hotel and I must say am seriously looking forward to a shower and my bed after the mission hence forth to be known as ‘ project – no way am I walking back ‘ lol , I think the guys here find it funny that as South Africans we are not so keen on the walking thing …
Tomorrow thus will have to be used to catch up on my admin stuff which I never got round to doing , on the plus side , I have just seen in the mirror in the elevator I got a great face tan and now look like an English tourist that has been in a Dubai for 1 day 🙂
I hope you muppets are having a good weekend , you must be so excited for the big 03 that is just around the corner now , I wonder what you have on your , as I know you both, very extensive wish list ? Would have loved to get you all the things you wanted but that seems impossible this year due to the doing of your hostage keepers ….. Thus it will have to be ‘ I owe you’s ‘ again like your Christmas gifts , maybe one day you will be able to in-cash all these for something very cool , who knows …..
Well Champs as I feel my fingers sticking to the iPad screen from sweat and curry mixed I best head off for a shower but just wanted to say , I can’t wait to see you both a little later under our big old green tree in dreamland , packing you nice spicy curry dream cuddles and smiled …..
Night , night muppets , sweet dreams of mango lassies on ice one day ….
Love you both around the old fort here and back many times and miss you the short cut back to the car a billion times more …..

Fathers meet with the Dean Of Canterbury Cathedral
Today is the final day of The Pilgrim Fathers’ Progress. Having arrived safely in Canterbury last night, and enjoyed some well-deserved post-pilgrimage refreshments and most importantly a good night’s rest, they met with the Dean Of Canterbury Cathedral this morning at 10am for him to receive the petition on behalf of the Archbishop.
Thomas Judge writes:
“The truth shall set you free.” These words are to be found at the knave inside Canterbury Cathedral on the compass rose in the floor.
Today I was shown these words by Dean Robert on behalf of the Archbishop of Canterbury. I was very moved when I heard him speak them because it signifies everything that Pilgrim Fathers stands for.

Two of the ‘Pilgrim Fathers’ with the Dean of Canterbury Cathedral, Reverend Robert Willis
A group of fathers calling themselves ‘victims of the family court system’ have completed a week-long pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral to hand their petition to the Dean.
Thomas Judge, who’s from York, and Matt Thompson, who’s from Brentwood, are calling for changes to the family courts to make sure that parents with contact orders can see their children.
For Matt Thompson, walking up to 20 miles a day wasn’t easy, but it was worth it for this cause:
“On Wednesday, I was walking on my own. I’d been going for so long, my legs felt numb, but that was fine, because it reminded me of how I had felt during the court process myself.

Have Fathers 4 Justice and similar fathers rights groups actually achieved anything?
On Wednesday there was a question on Fathers 4 Justice in the AQA GCSE Citizenship Studies Unit 1 exam. When people ask what fathers have achieved by dressing up as Batman and climbing on a roof there is your answer.
As the late great Nelson Mandela said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
