Over the last 48 hours the horrific details regarding the death of 4 year old Taegrin Morris have emerged through the different news outlets. How a mother’s worst nightmare unfolded in in Reiger Park, South Africa, while strapping her children in to her Golf to take them home, they were hijacked. Thankfully her daughter managed to get out of the car to hide behind her mother but as her little boy tried in vain to get out of the seat belt the hijackers sped away and he was dragged behind the vehicle for nearly 8 kilometers resulting in his death!

I have two instances for any parents and a non parent to consider. The first imagine being that mother? Watching your child screaming for your help as he is dragged behind a moving vehicle knowing that your child is about to die in the most gruesome way, seeing his tiny…

Good afternoon Little Men!

How are my muppets doing today ? I hope oki doki Loki 🙂

It’s been a bit of a mad busy day here to be honest , phones have not stopped 3 mountains of emails and meeting planning for next week , lots of new exciting developments today thus never got around to sort my billing and accounts.

Tomorrow as I mentioned I am meet my BFF early morning near where we went to school and then have a couple of work meetings after midday so not sure what time I will get back home.

It was a really nice warm winters day here but sitting on the sofa with the big doors open now I can feel my hands and feet are a little frozen , or maybe it’s just me , chest is still a disaster but I think I am getting use to it now.

When I went out today I had to get Ouma an external sound card for her computer as I think that is the issue with her Skype not working well , as she now has internet on her phone I am trying to get her to Bbm or what’s up me rather than text but no, I still get text messages from her , lol …

I see all the family law protests are going really well but as normal the media seems to be blocking it , but the social media is spreading it like wild fire which is great news 🙂

It looks like I have to go to Cape Town again on Tuesday morning ,should be the last local trip before I leave home again for what looks like it might be 2 months as I am not sure if I will be able to work in a trip home again until end of September , but let’s see.

I hope you muppets are having a great week thus far , lots of learning , plenty of fun and tons of giggles.

So as always Champs I shall see you both a little later under our big old green tree in dreamland …looking toward to some extra warm double O bear dream cuddles ….

Night , night Little Men …sweet dreams …… Full of fun…

Love you both plenty big lots and miss you both so very much more ….

Love you Champs …..always …..

Dad xx

The Long Goodbye

On the sandstone steps On the sandstone steps

Yesterday morning Julian, Daniel and I braved minus 11 temperatures and the overwhelming urge to climb back in to bed to make the long journey back to Dubai. We have just spent 18 days in South Africa on the farm in the Eastern Free State but sadly our time was up and we needed to head back to the real world, ok not that we were staying in Fairy Land, but we have lives to return to.

As we said our good byes we realized that our comings and goings don’t only effect our lives but the lives of our families rather profoundly. Daniel blossomed in the short time we were home, he became a confident young man and he is all of a sudden talking a hind leg off a donkey. This was of course a direct influence from being surrounded by a group of…

We Are Raised to Be Victims of Narcissists

Carrie Reimer's avatarLady witha truck

When a person finally figures out what they were/are involved with they often say they feel broken, crushed, don’t know who they are or what they believe in. Their world has flown off its axis and they are free falling into a black oblivion, they feel stupid, foolish, weak, naive, pathetic.

It is not just the narcissist’s lies that make us feel uncertain about everything, when we once were certain about most things and confident; it is that everything we were raised to believe about the world was challenged and used against us. Of course we are lost and don’t know which way is up and everything looks so bleak, we have nothing sacred any more, nothing to believe in.

How we raise our children does nothing to prepare them for the day they meet a narcissist, in fact we teach them how to be the perfect victim. We head…
