My African Heritage
The news in South Africa is currently dominated with a few headlines about the Oscar Trial, that weird EFF political party, some crazy ANC lady wanting the South African anthem broadcast twice a day and the new LandAct Law signed by Zuma a few days ago. I am not interested in the first three headlines, but the fourth sends shivers down my spine!
For hundreds of years my family have farmed in the Eastern Cape and my hubbies family have farmed on their land for over 102 years in the Free State and in all those years have weathered the storm of droughts, hardships and found a way to cultivate the African climate. These farms have been passed down from generation to generation, thus they are a product of the blood, sweat and tears of over 7 generations of Pringles and Browns in the Eastern Cape. Sometimes I feel cross, but I don’t know why Dandlebear
Kitty was a girl who had been on a long journey. For a time she had not seen her daddy and that had made her very sad. When it came to the time when she would see her daddy again she felt worried, what if her daddy did not like her anymore, what if her daddy was cross with her?
When she saw her daddy again all her worries fell away because everything was alright and just the same as her memories said it would be. In fact it was so good that sometimes she wondered what all the fuss had been about. She and daddy would spend every weekend together and sometimes would have a holiday together too. Kitty enjoyed those times best of all, because she could pretend that this was forever and that she would never have to leave her daddy again.

Daily update for my Boys 1 July 2014
Good afternoon Little Men !
I hope my muppets are well and safe today.
It’s been such a nice winters day here again 🙂 , Ouma and I went out on the town today , been a fun day …lots giggles , not sure we should have gone out as I am not sure who is more sick her or I , but I guess we needed some fun also ……
Oupa has been out also sorting his motorcycle restoration project , the bike looks really good , I am pretty sure you two would love to ride it one day. He was naughty also and have gone to test drive the new Harley D he wants to get.
I have my dentist appointment tomorrow morning and then I guess it’s back to work stuff for the rest of the week, looks like I will be in Cape Town next week which should be nice , hope to catch up with some friends, time permitting.
I have had no confirmation yet again again from the Court on the documents filed last weekend with them so I will email them tomorrow to follow up , the further directions as mentioned in the order from 18 June is also still outstanding , no surprise there then on the Court once again not doing their job.
Spoke to Mr J today also , I think I will see them and the twin on Sunday for a bite at the a Ocean basket , restaurant of choice for the twins as they are now officially sushi mad , which is great to see little ones enjoying great healthy food like that , pretty sure I am going to have to eat all the wasabi on their behalf 🙂
The phone drama on my side seems sorted now also , I have opted to go for two blackberry’s , rather the devil you know as the saying goes ….
I should know end of next week also what my travel plans are for the rest of July and August so I will keep you posted.
Well champs I hope you both will have a fantastic day tomorrow full of fun , plenty of learning and loads of giggles ….
