10 Years on …Spiderman, Superman, Batman and Robin, Fathers 4 Justice Cliton Suspension Bridge protesters
New Fathers 4 Justice - Superhero Dads
They are an unlikely bunch of superheroes, but the four men who scaled the Clifton Suspension Bristol on February 2, 2004, had big ideas about the way fathers should be treated.
Drivers crossing the bridge during the morning rush hour were confronted by the sight of Superman, Spiderman, Batman and Robin looking down on them from on top of the tower on the Leigh Woods side.
It was an unexpected stunt, and one that later caused traffic mayhem when the bridge was closed to vehicles, but it captured the attention of the public and the worldwide media.
The bridge protest was Fathers 4 Justiceβs first big announcement to the world of their aims. Similar stunts took place over the next few months, but it was the Clifton event that really highlighted the plight of the men campaigning for the right to see their children.

Daily update for my Boys 1 Feb 2014
Good afternoon little men!
How are you both doing this afternoon? I hope tremendously well…
I have had a lovely morning with Quentin and the little Jenkings gang at the Ocean Basket and play place…. Made me smile , but also made me sad thinking of you both and how you are , as the twins are determent to do things for them selfs now , be it buttering bread or dipping sushi in soya sauce, I wonder if you both are like that also as you are in fact a month older as these two muppets…. Liam decided I need Sun block but only did my left side and then decided I was on my own as he had more fun things to go do… I think if I left him with the Sun block he would have looked like a ghost and would have needed a couple of baths to degrease…lol
We had calamari, but we can’t tell the little ones as then they would not eat it , but if you tell them it is chicken they are happy to try it….lol , I guess you both have not and will never get to try fish or sea food as your care giver does not like it so I can all assume she will make sure you both don’t try it , I must say I was well impressed with these 3 eating sushi, they don’t like the crab but more than happy with the Salmon and prawns….
Liam made me laugh as I asked him if he wanted some wasabi , so he turns and looks at me and says ” my mum said even if my dad tells me I have to eat it , I must say no ” cheeky monkey he is going to be I think……
Quentin and I must have looked like an old married gay couple taking the little ones out for the day, but hey was fun all the same , I think we need to see next time if Jaco and Jayden wants to come with…
I guess this morning made me realise how important normal time are with the little ones , and not just being locked in a room for 2 hours 4 times a year ……. Maybe one day hey boys , who knows…..
I hope you muppets have had as much fun as I did this morning , lots of smiles , giggles and happy times…..
Tomorrow I will have to catch up on my admin so no outings for me … I hope you two have a busy fun filled day planned , maybe a nice Sunday dinner , who knows ……..
As always champs I will see you both tonight under our big old green tree in dream land , brining you some Sun block covered bear cuddles , lol
Night , night little men , dream big always , nothing is impossible if you want it enough…….
Love you both to the moon , sun and stars and back ……..miss you much more …..
Love you pals …..
Dad xx
